The Flopetrol self-releasing overshot is used to fish wireline tools that have no fishing neck, as well as damaged wireline tools and sucker rods that cannot be fished using conventional tools.
The more tension applied on the overshot, the tighter the force of the slips on the item being fi shed. If the fi sh cannot be retrieved, the overshot is released by jarring down.
The Flopetrol self-releasing overshot has:
- One body M-808413 for 2 3/8 in. and 2 7/8 in. tubing
- One body M-808271 for 3 1/2 in. and 4 in. tubing
- One set of standard slips (selected according to the OD of the fish) with different sizes of slips for each skirt
- One skirt, selected according to the drift diameter of the tubing
