The Hunting Spring Jar is easily calibrated and tested at surface using the Hunting Calibration sub.

The Hunting Spring Jar is easily calibrated and tested at surface using the Hunting Calibration sub.
Once the jars are fired at the pre-calibrated tension, setting weight down on the tool string resets the Jars to their ready-to-fire state. The Jars are configured in the inverted style making the mechanism less prone to clogging up with well debris.
When high deviation is an issue, the Hunting Jar can be offered in the VariBall / VariJar configuration, improving conveyance and operations in high angle wells.
Available in industry recognized connections including Sucker Rod, QLS and HD-QRJ.
